Sometimes the Block is a Bust, ya know what I’m saying? Haven’t you ever walked aimlessly around a Blockbuster (or Hollywood Video or whatever) with you eyes droopy and your mouth open, waiting for something to call out, “HEY!!!!! RENT MEeeEeeEee!”
No? You probably have, don’t lie.
I definitely have. Sometimes when my boyfriend, Peter, and I just want to have a nice quiet evening in, sometimes we walk down the street to the local Blockbuster and hope something will scream at us because we rarely go there with a movie in mind.
So we were thinking… how cool would it be to pick a phenomenial, timeless actor or actress and start from the very beginning of their career and watch every movie they’ve starred in until now? TOTALLY COOL. But who?
There’s your obvious choices — Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, Al Pachino, Susan Surrandon, Robert Redford, Dustin Hoffman… but who do you suggest?
Who is timeless, limitless in their character types, and thrilling enough to watch from beginning to end? (And is it me, or are there stronger male actor names that come up on your list?)

I really like that idea! I wonder which actor I would choose…maybe Nicole Kidman or Christian Bale? I definitely haven’t seen all of the movies either of them have made so it would be cool to see how they’ve developed. I’ve also thought it would kind of be neat to watch every single Oscar winner of ‘best picture’ from the beginning of when the awards started til now.

Oh yeah Pasiley! Christian Bale & Nicole Kidman would be great to follow their careers! I also like the idea of watching All best picture movies. But I think if I had to chose one person to follow, I would choose Harrison Ford. Starting with a young Harrison staring in George Lucas’s first movie: “American Graffiti”… to the middle of his career with “Star Wars” / “Indiana Jones” / “The Fugative,” and all the way up to an old, grey haird man in “What Lies Beneath” / “K19″ / “Airforce One.” He’s been in a variety of movies, not one that I could say I didn’t like… Now there are many others I would like persue (maybe even more than him), but I feel Harrison Ford may be overlooked. Every young boy made his own whip, pretending to be Indiana Jones swinging from who knows what. We all remember how bad A he was in star wars, (Ladies, don’t tell me you didn’t like his untamability and ruggedness). Who can say that after they say Airforce One, they wouldn’t want Harrison Ford to be our real president? Not one.
